Anthony Neebari Waadah is the CEO of Legbo Group LLC USA, the current Champions of Nebraska State Raquesket Ball and a philanthropist.
Anthony said this move is for sports development in Ogoni and to show Ogoni as ONE, Strong, Indivisible and versely Talented Nation.
The US-based business man and sports lover said this in a meeting with representatives of Ogoni Football Organisation (OFO) at his residence in Bane town, Khana LGA.
The Ogoni Nations Cup was unveiled at the final match of the Legbo Championship Cup 2021/2022 on January 2, 2022 in Italy. The Ogoni Nations Cup will be contested for by club sides and teams spread across all LGAs in Ogoni, the competition is open to any club side or team that is interested in playing the game.
According to the Director, this is in-line with his philosophy that there is no Babbe Ogoni, or Tai Ogoni, or Khana Ogoni, or Gokana Ogoni or Eleme Ogoni, which is what divided us but there is ONE OGONI Nation.
Anthony single handedly powered Nyorzogo village Bane town with street lights and for 2 years, also sponsored the Legbo Championship Cup which has given a lot of young boys opportunities to express their talents and find opportunities beyond Bane.
Ogoni Nations Cup is likely to start by the middle of the year and Anthony said he is ready to make it a dream come true for Ogoni football stars and a remarkable sport event in Ogoni and for the Ogoni people.
