Altrayd Shares His Experience After Signing A Record Label Deal
Port Harcourt music artiste and producer, Altrayd shared his experience after signing a record label deal via his socials.
According to him, he didn’t know what depression was until he signed a record deal. Talking to independent artistes, he said they don’t know they’re living their best lives.
“Some years ago I signed a bad deal and it almost crippled my career, I thought changing my name from Hotice Exclusive to Altrayd would save me but these folks were after my life. 6 years contract and we already began having conflicts, I wanted out immediately but they said I must buy my freedom with $1M. I prayed and God came through. I managed to settle things and left the label. Ever since I haven’t been as happy as I was before the incident,” he said.
He went further to say, he later found himself writing sad songs unconsciously, even when he tried to sound happy he could still feel pain.
Giving a piece of advice to uprising artistes, he urged they focus on their art and grind like their life depends on it. They should stop waiting for labels because they (artistes) might not be so lucky when they (record labels) finally come for them.
Finally he hinted about his forthcoming song titled, “Demons” dropping June 7.
